Life is like a river

Davíð Þór's 50th

My husband's brother, Davíð Þór, turned 50 on January 5th and he celebrated with friends and family today in Neskirkja.  He recently moved with his girlfriend Þórunn Gréta to Eskifjörður in the east of Iceland but most of his friends live in Reykjavík so it was easier to have the birthday celebration in the city (also there is a music festival in Reykjavík this weekend, Dark Music Days, where Þórunn Gréta's new music-theater was performed by Kristín Þóra Haraldsdóttir).  It was also a great timing for Davíð's eldest daughter Hulda, who lives in Denmark, since she and her family are visiting here in Iceland for only three weeks.

I also had time to see a photo exhibition in Harpa earlier in the day, stop by at our favourite geek-shop Nexus and then spend the evening with my friend Linda while Dagur and Kári went to the cinema with Númi.
Excellent day!
