Job Done

After the frustrations of yesterday the missing ladder parts arrived mid morning today, so I jumped in the car and headed back to Doncaster to continue the fitting of the loft ladder.

A bit of 'fettling' was required to fit some suitable wood in the loft to form the anchor point - so it took a little longer than expected to fit, but was relatively straight forward.

All in all quite pleased with it - just annoyed at having to go back a second day.

Very cold wind tonight when I took the dogs out - could have have done with 5 layers on instead of 4! Wind was even blowing through my hat! We did get 'found' by what appeared to be a lost dog - but Katie chased it off so it wouldn't come quite close enough to get hold of it. It kept following us and there was no owner in sight.  It was on the path that runs alongside the A1, so I hope it didn't venture out onto the carriageway.
