Cousins United

Lovely day today spent with cousins one of whom I haven't seen in at least 20 years and we just don't know how long for the other. They are daughters of dads sister who died on my birthday in 1999. They grew up in Leicester while I was on the coast in East Sussex. We didn't get to my aunts funeral as my mother was very ill at the time. I hadn't realised she died on my birthday.

Dad now 90 was so delighted to see both Pat and Joyce and their husbands and there was much reminiscing to be done. They live as far from the sea as it's possible to be in the Uk so I couldn't resist arranging lunch at Avon Beach and the weather 'did us proud' to use one of dads favourite sayings!
