Lone Cygnet

I blipped this little chap on 30th December;  that day he was being very grateful for food but today he seems happier and content to forage in the water.  After taking some shots of him, I went to have a look at the bird hide, and as it was occupied I decided to do the circular walk back to the car. 

At that point my phone rang, and it was Jack to say he had just taken a call from our youngest (driving down from Newcastle to spend the weekend) to say she'd  had a blow out on the A1 and had "written her car off".  It's not a good start to the weekend, but thank goodness neither she nor anyone else was hurt  -  just badly shaken up.
