Pictorial blethers

Bare branches

I love the shapes of these old trees at Inverchaolain, an ancient settlement on Loch Striven. The church of the parish can be seen to the left of the photo; it is maintained as a church but has only a few services in it nowadays. A strange day - we expected the sun we'd had shining all day in Dunoon to be shining here too, but instead we encountered this variable layer of cloud that stretched, untypically, to the south of us.
