The Two Posties

Look - it's MrT telling Alan Johnson MP, the nation's most famous postman from Slough, about how he was also a postman in Slough in the swinging sixties. Admittedly just a Christmas job while he was a student, but their mailbags may well have come into close proximity. Either that or he's telling Johnson that his book is one of the best he's ever read about Slough.
A fine Burns supper down at one of my favourite football grounds. Who'd have thought that Nigel Griffiths could recite the whole of Tam O'Shanter by heart? Glad to see he'd put his retirement to good use.
And after that it was back to Mr&MsW's delightful townhouse where we got comfily seated for a beer or twa and a whisky. Well, once they'd put the ironing board away. And what an iron! It was like a wallpaper stripper. Immense. These young people, I dunno.
