The Edge of the Wold

Heron water

Gus's third walk of the day was over Heathwaite and down to the shore beyond Far Arnside.  We stood and watched the sun set behind Humphrey Head, the heron flew in as the clouds overhead first became bright and translucent.  After this was taken, everything went crimson - but I didn't have a torch to light the way on the 2 mile walk home, so I left before the light show peaked.  There is a photo taken 15 minutes earlier here.

For those who missed it, earlier I uploaded a Gusblip for yesterday.
