Museum of Fire, Lauriston Place

Having spent the morning at Midlothian Ski Centre, the afternoon was spent in town.

It felt really nice in the sunshine. As my partner and I walked up Lauriston Place I thought the red sandstone of this building really stood out against the blue sky on a lovely Sunday afternoon.

The building is an old fire station is now the Museum of Fire, detailing the history of the first municipal fire brigade in Europe from 1824 to the 1940s.
