Hinges

It was a beautiful day so Pete and I headed out to Colsterworth to do some more plant recording. We parked near Woolsthorpe Manor, the home of Sir Isaac newton, and went on a long and convoluted stroll, recording 189 species in total. The most exciting was a clump of Rustyback fern on the west wall  of the parish church - the first record in South Lincolnshire for fifteen years. Unfortunately it was growing too high up to get a good shot! So instead I present this very beautiful old door, which has a very impressive pair of hinges.

Many thanks for all the stars and hearts for yesterday's image - not surprisingly the fire was still hot this morning!
