Sunshine and Shadows

Isn't it good that the jet stream has relocated to the north of the British Isles, allowing us some rather lovely weather for the beginning of February.

It was all glorious sunshine and shadows in the Dower House this morning, but best to ignore the windows telling a tale of weather borne neglect- it would be unwise to assume the winter has finished with us, and what a waste of elbow grease that would be to provide a clearer view of possible sleet and outside misery.

There will be a definite spring in my step as I stride across the Meadows in sunshine this afternoon on my way to visit my friend, she of the many talents, and see the new crocuses beginning to flower amongst the grass.
