A Day Of Remembering

Two weeks ago today, our dear friend Philip passed away in hospital at the age of 84. Since that day, we have been by his wife Sandy's side helping her in any way to prepare his memorial and cremation and just being available for her.

Today was his memorial service at St John's and on Thursday is the cremation, which sadly I will miss. It was a truly beautiful, meaningful and just so very lovely. A really fitting tribute, emotional at times but I'm sure he would have liked it. He was honoured well. And the cathedral was such a special place for it.

We then walked across to Hong Kong Park and passed this walkway with super views of the city. The building is the Lippo Centre in Admiralty. I have blipped it before and pointed out that it is also known as the Koala building as it does look like koalas are climbing (headless koalas nonetheless!!).

Had a lovely lunch with Philip's family in the restaurant at Hong Kong Park, such a wonderful setting in the heart of Hong Kong, was really surprised at its location.

Now on to the big event for tomorrow ... Jonathan turns 18! Good grief, where have the years gone???
