Smokey disdains online dating, even with the lovely Abbess of Lacock.

It turns out that the Abbess is a visitor to the Abbey, whose real name is not known, but the gardener calls her 'Smokey'.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Ronettes featuring Veronica - So Young (recorded February-March 1963)
Ronnie Spector modeled her memorable singing style on young male teenagers of the time such as Frankie Lymon. This song was first recorded in 1958 by the Students featuring the lead vocals of Leroy King, who was fourteen at the time. It was written by another high school scholar, Prez Tyus, who wanted to marry his girl friend Patricia Pearson, but was considered to be too young. The song also fascinated Brian Wilson, who based the Beach Boys version on both the Students and Ronettes versions. He recorded the song on two occasions, having himself married just before the second, released version that appeared on Beach Boys Today.
Although credited to the Ronettes on the album ... Presenting The Fabulous Ronettes Featuring Veronica, the recording had previously been released as the first single by Veronica and neither of the other two Ronettes is audible on the track, which was arranged by Jack Nitzsche and produced by Phil Spector.
