My take

Great court, British Museum

This is the striking entrance hall of my favourite museum, the British Museum. I was working at one of our offices in London today, and it is only 5 minutes walk away from here.

The first time I came here (in about, ooh, 1460) this geodesic dome wasn't here. I can't remember how it was, but I think the big circular building used to be the Reading Room. Anyway, it's much better now as the centrepiece of this beloved collection of antiquities. It's hard to think of a better way to spend a lunch-hour in London than wandering around this treasure-house.
