Millionaires Vinegar?

Bordeaux, France.

The Bay of Biscay lived up to its somewhat unruly reputation, and so after a night of gentle swaying we arrive in Bordeaux. Again, this is a single topic location: wine.

We had arranged a private tour with the rather marvelous Pascale, an owner of a Medoc chateau in her own right, who took us around the Medoc wineries whose products only the Chinese can afford.

But she also took us into places not open to the public, like this private collection of past vintages in a particular chateau. And yes, that really is the year of production.

We asked if they ever sold this stuff. No, but sometimes they open a bottle for themselves. Just for fun.
