..and about time too!!

All the years I've worked in Falkirk and lived nearby, and this was my first (daylight) visit to the famous Falkirk Wheel, the only canal lift of its kind in the world.  We arrived just in time to get on the barge that gets taken up in this marvellous piece of engineering for a trip across the aquaduct, through a tunnel and back again.  The kids loved it and so did I.  Too sunny for photos when we arrived, but after lunch the moody clouds had descended ... perfect. 

Poor Michelle was still confined to quarters with her puffy eye..
