Eurasian Robin ...

... taken at the Parc Kellermann, on the southern outskirts of Paris, about a 20-25 minute walk from our apartment.  We followed the bird for quite a ways, in bushes along a path, moving constantly, usually hidden. Finally he (she?) stopped in a relatively open area, but in the shadows in the back. He actually stopped long enough for this shot--it was actually much darker than it seems. Its French name is rouge-gorge, or "red throat"--very descriptive, but quite a bit smaller than our American robin. FYI, the painterly impression is direct from the camera; I did use Photoshop, but only with my usual minor adjustments.
