Fondation Louis Vuitton

A whale of a building designed by Frank Gehry, which has been the talk of Paris for many months--at least since it opened last October. Here's the Wiki article. We hadn't planned to go in, and were reinforced in that decision by a line at least half the length of the building.  Marylee has been reading reviews while I write this; she says they range from"horrible" to "a work of genius".  We will probably return at some point later in our sojourn here, and I promise to report again at that time.

After lunch we had an extended visit to the Sonia Delaunay exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.  It was large and wonderful, greatly expanding our grasp of the very wide range of her work, which included designs, fabrics, and publicity, in addition to the colorful paintings for which she is best known.
