The Play of Light

The weather was much cooler today. That will have been a mixed blessing for the thousands attending the Marlborough Wine and Food Festival. The dog and I walked the Taylor River tracks early this morning. It was partly cloudy nevertheless the play of sporadic sunlight on the distant dry summer hills was beautiful.
