Street Artist

Went to town this morning, to try to take some pictures for our next camera club competition. "Street Photography"- which I don't find easy.  I've got a long list of excuses: my camera feels too big, my lens is too small, etc. but the main problem is that it seems intrusive. Though I love looking at other people's street photos.
I got diverted by a large crowd gathered around this man. He gets himself wrapped up in a load of chain, has it secured with several padlocks, climbs up a ladder and gets himself out. Then he invites the audience to step forward and donate £5. It seemed very successful, but it didn't help me with my street photography. I think this is more performance art than street photography.
