We made it!

After the traumas of yesterday's attempt at a sea crossing, today went comparatively smoothly. The sun was shining, the sea was blue instead of that dreadful grey-green, and the sun came out. Twice.

The crossing was fairly uneventful; force 5 winds and 3 metre swell for which I read 'mill-pond' but apparently still seemed rough to a few. We arrived in Jersey around about the time my team were finishing getting beaten 17-3 by Jersey RFC, but it would still have been nice to have seen the game. But never mind; we have three days here to enjoy and our accommodation is lovely; my picture is of the outside and the inside is very comfortable and cosy. Definitely a good choice.
