The Black Cat

Had a nice breakfast this morning at our B&B.  We drove down to the registration tent/starting line of the cross-country ski race. Actually it is cross-the-bay race.  The high for today is going to be -1 F, and a very high north wind was blowing off of the lake.  We all decided at that point that we are not going to do the race.  But we paid our registration to make a donation to the organization. 
Then a little shopping in Ashland. We bought warm socks.  This photo was taken at the Black Cat Coffee shop.  Then back to our cabins.  Jane, Tim and I went for a long walk around the property which was pleasant because we are out of the wind. 
Now we are getting ready to go over to Washburn, where the finish line is. We will go to dinner and then watch the racers come in.
