Sea Caves on Lake Superior

Because of the cold weather this year, Lake Superior is frozen sufficiently to allow walkers out to the sea caves. Thousands and thousand of people are making the trip. What a spectacular site. Some caves are large, reminded me of a cathedral, some are very small. Smaller more limber people were crawling into caves and coming out a different opening. We were out until sunset and I took this photo through an opening as the sun was setting.

We are in Ashland Wisconsin tonight. On our way up we did some cross country skiing in Brule, Wisconsin. This has been an extremely cold and snowy winter so the north woods are gorgeous. After our ski and long walk out to the caves, we are exhausted tonight!
