Elk herd

We left early for a ride up the gorge to The Dalles, one of our favorite towns to visit nearby. From there we meandered over to Washington state, sort of looking for birds, but not very wholeheartedly. Then we took an altogether new way through the woods to Conboy lake and the wildlife refuge there. The day was beautiful, warm and sunny. Beside too many geese to even bother to count, we saw a heard of about 15 elk. Since I've not blipped elk before, here they are.
These are Rocky Mountain elk, about the size of a horse.
