A ceasefire is imminent, do you?

a). Stop firing missiles at each other in the knowledge that every life lost is a life wasted
b). Continue to kill as may people as possible and inflict as much damage as possible because your a little man with a huge chip on your shoulder, an even bigger ego and a country that is going down the pan so you need something to distract the general populace
c). Do (b) whilst pretending that it is your intention to do (a) because .... well just re-read (b)

Luton war memorial. Built of Portland Stone and put up in 1922. It is inscribed on four sides with the names of the 1286 men of the town who lost their lives in World War One. Later bronze panels were added to commemorate the dead of the Second World War. The 8 foot high bronze statue of 'Peace' carries a myrtle branch held aloft in her right hand and an angel holding a wreath in her left hand.

How many more of these will we be forced to erect as a result of the actions of misguided leaders in various parts of the world, including on occasions our own good country?

Footnote: The town hall in the background was not there when the war memorial was put up, having been burned down in the peace day riots of 1919. Ironic eh. The new town hall was completed in 1936 and like the war memorial, it is built of Portland stone, and is to my eye, a very attractive building.
