Vasco da Gama bridge

The predicted rain arrived this morning, so we spent several hours in the Oceanarium -- you can't beat a good aquarium! Massive tanks, lots of fish from every ocean in the world, but also puffins, penguins and a pair of sea otters (winners of the cuteness award).

When we came out, it was spitting rain, so we stepped into a cafe for a quick sandwich and coffee. Perfect timing, because when we came out, the sky was clearing. So we hurried to the nearby cable car and took an airborne trip to the Vasco da Gama bridge, which obliged with a rainbow. Within minutes of our setting foot on the ground again, the clouds had returned.

We spent most of the rest of the afternoon trying to a) find the tile museum, and b) having abandoned that project as too difficult, return to the flat. It took several buses and a tram, but we made it in the end and settled down for a well-earned rest.

In the evening we treated ourselves to dinner at the restaurant Glenn took us to on our first night, which is practically on the doorstep. Once again we let the owner choose what to serve and had a wonderful meal, three courses with wine and a glass of port for a total of 47 euros. Which was exactly half what we paid for tapas at the outrageously trendy Sea Me the previous evening.
