Mysterious insect...

I have no idea what this tiny creature is! It measured less than one centimetre (half an inch) and was flitting around in one of my pot plants. It is bright yellow, has huge wings for its size and a long, see-through kind of proboscis, which is only just visible in this blip. It was so small I struggled to get it in focus, even with macro setting on camera. I've googled but cannot find any info at all?!? Puzzled!
