Quiet week

We've reached mid-semester, so have entered "Innovative Learning Week". All normal teaching activities are suspended to allow students to attend the many alternative learning activities that have been arranged.

Sounds great in theory but, from the evidence of the quiet cafe and corridors, most students appear to use the week to catch up on work and/or go away. Although this is also attractive to staff, the consequence of losing a week now is that I'll be teaching on Good Friday. I'm sure it all makes sense to someone!
