Anticipation

I love the way the atmosphere builds the closer you get to the ground before a football match, and it's heightened at an evening kick-off. Today was wild, wet and windy so the lights of Easter Road were all the more enticing when I turned the last corner of the tenement-lined streets leading to the ground.

The game was exactly as a full-blooded cup tie between the two local teams should be, and the right team won with a single goal scored after only four minutes. The extra shows the Hibs players acknowledging the supporters in the East Stand while the crowd sang "Sunshine on Leith".

The snow's gone, so it's back to random cat blips and office views for a while. Thanks for all the acknowledgements and comments over the past three days.
