A Writer's Life

Dispair

A law against the students, 3 months after the beginning of the conflict (government wanted to raise tuition 75% over 5 years. Now, it's 82% over 7 years. Not sure there's a progress there). There is no negotiation, and more and more students are getting hurt: 2 lost an eye, one lost an ear, another one is still in the hospital after a severe head trauma.

So, the government, instead of sitting down with the students and actually try to find a end for the crisis, voted a law that Amnesty International, the Quebec Bar association, various unions, the opposing parties, have all said is anticonstitutional.

Today, I grieve. I'm nauseus. This thing will not end well. A student will be killed by the cops. It's just a matter of time.
