Beneath the Cross at Mortonhall

My first visit back here since Mum's funeral.  A hard decision to return, but I knew I had to do it before coming back to say goodbye to Dad.  The cross overlooks the hill where ashes are scattered.  A place to pray, reflect and give thanks.

The building was designed by Sir Basil Spence, opened in 1967.  Some similarities to his design of Coventry Cathedral.  The Main Chapel has many stained glass windows, creating a lovely light within.
