Abandoned?

Yesterday was quite decent weather - my wife and her friend even sat outside on the patio in the sun for a while reading their books. Today, however, the temperature dropped and there was an icy wind blowing in from the sea when we visited Southwold.

A warm pub was therefore very welcoming, and we enjoyed a good lunch washed down with Adnam's bitter. This was followed by a cold walk along the front to the pier, where we dropped into a warm cafe for a hot chocolate. A final cold walk back to the car to drive back to our accommodation.

This bike was sitting on the beach apparently all alone, with its wheels buried in the sand. I hope a high tide didn't wash it away.
