The Wren

Mt Charleston has been blipped before when I visited Las Vegas a couple of years ago. It is a very popular ski resort in the winter, just a 40 minute drive from the city, and a great place for walking at other times of the year and my son and DIL love it. The only problem now is that it is 8,000' high and we weren't sure how the babies would cope but we decided it was time to test it out as they hope to fly back to UK in May for a wedding and needed to know how the girls would fare on the aircraft where the cabin pressure is also often at about 8,000'. Although neither of the girls now need oxygen at home we had the monitor and oxygen with us and while baby L coped just fine all the way up, baby R's oxygen levels dipped and she needed a top up. Here they are on the walk with the girls cosied up with their parents and my son also carrying a small oxygen tank in his back pack with tubes to R. We all had a great walk and Kymba loved the odd patches of snow. R's lungs will improve with time and this was a good test which they can repeat to monitor her.
