Black and White

The building in which I work is almost exactly one hundred years old. It is in fact two semi-detached houses built originally to house senior staff. It has a couple of interesting architectural features, my favourite being these cast iron hopper heads which collect rainwater from several sources into one down pipe. The floral motif seems to be the white rose of York, and it is indeed in Yorkshire, but whether that is by design or coincidence I cannot say.
