Sid's

I was in Holmfirth at lunchtime.

This is Sid’s Cafe - the cafe made famous by ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ - the world’s longest running sitcom which began in 1973. With its distinctive white frontage, red ‘cafe’ sign and green gingham curtains it is instantly recognisable as the cafe frequented by Compo, Clegg and Foggy.

It was sleeting late morning and at lunchtime it was raining cats and dogs.
