Goldys Back

This morning was overcast and looked as if it may rain.. but no. By this afternoon the sun showed its face and it turned out rather warm.

I took a walk through the city to catch up on events and came across 'We Are Worthit' Giraffe, I have always called Goldy. She is back home at the Casino where she stood for a couple of months. A disgruntled employee said that the Casino had paid $17,000 for her. It is the year of the Sheep you can see that in the Top Right shot which I also took in the Casino.

I walked around the Fanzone in Victoria Square for the Cricket World Cup and people were enjoying the game on the big screen. It was good seeing the tram going down Cashal Mall .. it was a much different scene four years ago tomorrow when the February Earthquake hit the city.

The shots Top Left and Bottom Right as of a new Mural going up in the city. I saw them painting over the one done last year, the other day. This is what was up there.. I did do a blip some time ago but couldn't find it. They still had a bit of work to do on it yet. I see they left the birds head  there and made the new head come out from it. You can't see it that well in this shot.

The two shots in the Bottom Middle are of a old mural near by.. it is the first time I could get a shot with out cars being there. The one at the Bottom is a newer one on the staircase to nowhere.

The shot Bottom Left I found in Cashal Mall I thought was interesting. Not sure it well stay there for long!
