Labour and *a very long* Wait

After around seven years of lusting over its clean, simple and minimalistic website, featuring a collection of mouth-watering home essentials, we finally made it to hardware heaven, Labour and Wait. Snuggled within Shoreditch's stylish quarter, sits this emporium of traditional homegoods; balls of string, wood and horsehair brushes, zinc buckets, vintage pegs - just to tickle the surface, all overseen by a lovely chap, suitably resplendent in a traditional 'Arkwright' coat. Just as its wares hark back to a calmer time before mass consumerism set us all in a spin, he extols traditional virtues of customer service and pride in his work. The way he carefully wrapped each item, sealed it with a Labour and Wait sticker, and placed it carefully and deliberately within a brown paper bag was as mesmerising and soothing as the atmosphere within and contents of this wonderful shop.
An experience definitely worth the labour in finding it, and the long wait to step over its threshold.
