Breath on the water

So, the repaired 17-55 f2.8 is under scrutiny and seems fine. This, of course, is not the best image to test the quality of focus but hey, it seems fine. I took some test pictures earlier, of fine text at an angle, and the focus point seemed bang on the money. Such pictures do not, however, make for particularly interesting Blips...

We went for a Saturday morning stroll along the Stroudwater canal, which in part is derelict and in part restored. Work continues, and the towpath is a pleasant walk. As the canal enters Stroud it opens out in a wider space where the narrowboats of old were able to turn around, and the wind gently throws ripples onto the water, reflecting the old Willows that line the bank. Under a blue sky the patterns caught my eye.
