Going Up!

What a super day I had with LadyG today!  We met for lunch to give us much needed energy for our little stumps to climb the hundreds of steps (528!) to the Golden Gallery in St. Paul's Cathedral.  We had a look around the beautiful cathedral floor, the crypt, then climbed up and UP to the Whispering Gallery, where we whispered into the wall and rested the trotters for a few minutes, before climbing up to the Stone Gallery (which was partly closed-off).  Our legs were a little shaky, but we carried on up to the Golden Gallery and were delighted  to see the spectacular views across London.  The sun bothered to come out too, which was splendid!  We cheekily ignored the member of staff who was telling us to make our way back down now after taking photos and snapped our photos as fast as our snapping fingers could snap, then skipped down the stairs with thoughts of medicinal cake and coffee.

I'm so glad we paid the rather pricey £17 entrance fee...well worth every penny for a really enjoyable afternoon!  Thanks again, dear LadyG!
