Hovercraft on the Beach

This one week old hovercraft is based at Vancouver Airport.  As well as general rescue work they are needed in case an aircraft comes in short of the runway and lands in the water.  The water there is very shallow and regular boats would not be able to reach the downed aircraft.  Fortunately, this has never happened.  What it was doing on the beach in the park I don't know.
