Little feathered visitor

We met up with friends today at Knightshayes, a nearby National Trust property http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/knightshayes/

It is the wettest day in ages so after a tour of the house and then an outdoor soaking we decided to dry off over tea/coffee/cake. A lovely little Robin flew in to join us and trilled away as we indulged - he was on top form with his lively performance.

We popped out for another soaking to find a few geocache stashes in the parkland but after slipping around in the mud we called it quits and headed home to warm and clean up.

After a lovely roast dinner we are now all nice and cosy and don't plan to set even a toe outside for the rest of the day. We have had a lovely half term - It was extra welcome as we were all ill during the last holidays. back to work and school for us all tomorrow.
