Home soon...... Hopefully!

So we flew home today. It’s been a fantastic week in Delhi. The teaching sessions were great and getting to see the Taj was brilliant, however it’s been soured slightly by BA. I could have coped with the really old planes as the staff on the plane were excellent, however they were let down by whoever does their planning on the ground. In their infinite wisdom BA thought a 60 minute connection time would suffice despite being due to land at the time Heathrow switch runways and as such being delayed twenty to twenty five minutes then hitting the shift change on the security desk. Thankfully our flight to Edinburgh has been delayed by eighty minutes or we’d never have made it.

The staff on the plane from Delhi assured us that there would be BA staff to meet us and assist with the connection, but we didn’t see a soul. It added a really unnecessary and stressful layer to the journey home. If there’s a next time it’ll be back to Emirates or KLM I think. Hopefully we’ll get home at the back of seven but it’s less than twenty five minutes until our flight is supposed to leave for it's delayed slot and it’s still not on the board yet…..

I should add this was a last photo of the Delhi skyline from the balcony on the fifteenth floor of our hotel at a bit after midnight this morning.
