A Day Worth Recording

Chillin'

Tricky choice of picture today as the one I like most doesn't show the frost that made the breakfast walk so distinctive today; but journal wins out.

It was going to be a busy day today with guests coming and going, but it was a crisp sunny morning and the beacon covered in a dusting of icing sugar, so we got up and back before anyone noticed.  Amazed to be passed by joggers in T-shirt & shorts.

I bought a telly.  I'd normally do that from John Lewis (which would have been trivial from the Cambridge shop) so I tried their online presence. I had to phone them in the end, and generally they made such a complete hash of the whole transaction I eventually cancelled the order and, with trepidation, bought one from Currys; ten quid cheaper, ten days quicker and, oddly, with more sales competence.

It's quite big...

Still in its box tonight as we've the pleasure of Rob & Di, friends from University days, staying with us.  Amazingly, they've brought us a church pew - which fits perfectly in the atrium and rather looks the part with the font there too.

Doesn't everyone have a font in their atrium?
