FTK: Standing Up for a Good Cause!

This was a big weekend for Penn State, as this is the time of year for the Penn State Dance Marathon (or THON), the largest student-run philanthropy in the world. Money generated by this event is donated to the Four Diamonds fund and used toward efforts to eradicate childhood cancers.

Every year, students begin dancing on Friday evening and they continue through Sunday afternoon, remaining upright and dancing for 46 hours straight. This year, at the close of THON, another 13 million dollars was raised for the kids (or FTK, as we say). In this photo, Mini Bunzini shows solidarity with the dancers by standing upright for the cause.

The soundtrack . . . kids, this one's for you. So the tune to accompany this image is Elton John, with Your Song. I'm also including a bonus version, sung by Ewan McGregor in the film Moulin Rouge.
