There's Always Tomorrow

Flew up to Auckland this morning for a weekend away and some Foo Fighters in concert. Months ago we booked tickets for the stadium gig in Auckland but on Wednesday they announced tickets for a much smaller show in the Town Hall. I got up early on Thursday to book them but that turned out to be a waste of time because it was cancelled after an accident with one of their equipment lorries.

Just to add insult to injury, playing less than 200 meters away Eddie Izzard was performing a sold out show I couldn't get tickets for. The only logical thing to do was to have dessert at a new place just outside both venues. Thankfully, the dessert was fantastic, Nomi had the "trust the chef" option, really incredibly presented and tasted just as good. No idea what it was though.

At least we have tickets to tomorrows Foo Fighters show!
