Feather

Another busy one.

Found this feather in the garden this evening.  Fortunately, it seemed to be a lone feather suggesting that no cats had committed murder. Phew.  Not sure what kind of bird it would have belonged to - looks a bit duck-like though maybe a bit small (about 6-7 cms long and 1.5 cms wide).  Seems a bit oo colourful for a blackbird, thrush or sparrow.  Could be a starling maybe I guess.

Anyway,photographing it kept me amused whilst my tea bbq'd.  All good.
