Stirling view

I'm not often in Stirling two days running, but it just so happened that I had a lunch date with cousin Alison at The River House today.

It was lovely to catch up with her over a black pudding and chorizo salad, followed by pan-seared fillet of salmon in a mushroom and tarragon sauce. The place is always busy, which is testament to the good value it offers.

This was the view on a dull, dreich day, looking down on the Church of the Holy Rude and the Old Town Cemetery. Those are gravestones down there, not people!
