Lesser Crested Tern

This bird posed for me after he had just been doing some terrific fishing, dive bombing into the sea from a great height and battling the very strong winds, so I expect he was having a rest. If you look closely you can see the sand swirling around him. Anyway another different bird for my collection and in great condition.
The chance of a good thunderstorm & rain has now gone, which is very disappointing as it was going to be at the weekend and we were all looking forward to it! Rain here is an excuse for a party!
