Sunny Starling

I topped up the bird feeders (again) today - hungry little perishers we have round here!

I also made a new seed feeder as we only have one and I have a 22kg sack of feed to dispense. I used an old plastic drinks bottle and a wooden skewer! It may feature in a future blip as it appears the blue tits are quite happy using it.

I managed to grab this shot of a starling eyeing up the fat balls - their favourite! The feathers seemed to shine in the sunlight. Not amazingly sharp as the lens was at full stretch of 300mm, but brighter light enabled a faster shutter speed!
