Nicky and her Nikon

A long day

The Jazz concert last night at the school was brilliant, but it was a late night by the time we got home and to bed and so when the alarm went off at 4.30am this morning after only 4 hours sleep it was an effort to get up.

Geneva Airport was as busy and chaotic as always and the traffic from Geneva to Morzine was horrible - a 4km traffic jam to get through the motorway tolls that took forever. It made me grateful that the area we usually ski is not busy like this.

We got to Morzine later than we wanted. Luke was waiting for us and instead of having a much needed cup of coffee and something to eat we went straight up the mountain to ski. My plans of spending the afternoon relaxing were replaced, at Gavin's insistence,  by 3 hours of non stop skiing on busy, busy slopes with inexperienced out of control skiers - it was like driving dodgem cars avoiding them.

The weather was cloudy and so I did not take my camera, but at 5pm the sun came out and this is a shot taken with my iPhone. It will have to do as I have not taken any other photos!

Now hopefully a relaxing evening with Luke over dinner.
