Pastoral

Taken this morning when there was still some morning mist and before the sun came out full strength. I'm very taken with the soft focus effect of this image. It reminds me of those Victorian pastoral idylls that were so fashionable in the 19th Century. So sheep today and equal opportunities for the local farm animals (see yesterday).

D & G have put the floor down in what will become our new sitting room - they just have a small quantity of flooring to lay upstairs next week and then there is just the plumbing in the downstairs cloakroom. Then we will be all finished - well apart from all the painting and cleaning and sorting out!

It's been a painting woodwork day for me and a cleaning floors day for Ann - it's beginning to feel a little like the Forth Rail Bridge!

We definitely need to head for the allotment tomorrow to see how the weeds are flourishing - we'll be getting thrown off!
